I voted for Hillary. I might vote for Sarah Palin. But damn Palin makes it hard to like her. Anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage. Anti-Iranian nuculear (sic). But what she really is is just the flip side of the statist/collectivist coin.

I disagreed with Hillary on almost every issue too. Therefore, in the interest of getting a woman President (albeit vice president) I will make the sacrifice.

Why? Because the absolute equality of women is THE most important issue facing humanity today. I firmly believe that we must put women in positions of power and that that alone will make a positive change in the world.

The ideal situation would have a pro-freedom candidate who supported individual rights. However, no such candidate exists, and so as is always the case in politics, one must weigh one’s options.

Sarah Palin, you have some despicable political views, and you’ve got my support.

Um, ok. Vote for Sarah Palin if you want. But if you were to stop and think, you might actually realise that a vote for Sarah Palin is a vote AGAINST women, since on every issue pertinent to women, she stands with the men who would oppress women.

So your vote would oppress women even further.

By voting for her just because SHE is a woman, you're the one being sexist. The whole point of gender equality is that you judge people on where they stand, NOT what body parts they have. And if you look properly, there are plenty of places challenging Sarah Palin's ethical conduct, lack of experience and stands on the issues. You're just looking on the surface, and that's not good enough.

If you're interested in lifting the systematic oppression of women, look at the issues. Spend some time with Amnesty International in places like India and Pakistan where women are shot for not marrying who they're told to marry. Work towards getting rape cases reported and convicted.

THEN you can talk about caring about women's issues.

Good for you. I am tired of the Democrats being one-issue voters even though they do nothing to secure Roe. Time to shake things up - and I think a woman in the White House will be good for the little girls who see her there, and for the men (and women!) who will get used to the idea and not faint at the idea of a (gasp) working mom.

I personally believe the perfect candidate is too much change all at once. Change is traumatic. People need to go slow. Just my opinion….
