Sarah Palin’s supposed lack of experience is a non-starter as an argument against her. Anyone who attempts to raise it as a valid criticism of her campaign may consider herself or himself repudiated and her or his protestations refuted.
Also, as a Democrat don’t you believe in Affirmative Action? What is affirmative action but the process of weighing other factors such as gender or race differently when one is looking to fill a position. How is Palin not a candidate for affirmative action?
For those who discount the value of a mother’s experience or the day-to-day executive experience that comes from being a housespouse, I suggest you check your gender-biases.
Why do we value the traditional “male” experience of primary breadwinner, CEO, political striver more than the traditional “female” life of domestic engineer?
I hope that it is an unquestioned belief, but I fear it is willful ignorance.
