Eddie Izzard is a feminist

June 10th, 2008 by Out Wrong

After his recent gig in Austin, Texas, Eddie Izzard held a question and answer session in the lobby of the Paramount Theatre.

An audience member asked, “As a transvestite you challenge gender stereotypes. Do you consider yourself to be a feminist?”

Izzard’s response?

“Yes I am a feminist.”

What a visionary Eddie is. And his performance earlier in the evening was the best I have ever seen.

Bravo Eddie.

iPhone

June 9th, 2008 by Out Wrong

I know, I know, very few people even have one yet, and I probably won’t have one until sometime in August, but I am craving an iPhone.

This is unabashed, worshipful, false-idol lust. This thing is so amazing. Apple can do no wrong lately.

It’s not wise to pine so over a device but I have waited for this day for over a year. I have completely given myself to technology and if I could become a robot right now I would. (As long as there are still orgasms.)

Let me be the first to say, “I told you so!” from four years in the future

June 3rd, 2008 by Out Wrong

Barack Obama tonight clenched the Democratic nomination. I know that I will look back on this day and say, “I told you so,” because Obama will be business as usual. He is a politician to the core and he is selling out the liberties of the U.S. as fast as any other Washington criminal.

Four years from now, we will still be in Iraq and Afghanistan. We will still have not brought anyone to justice for the coup d’ etat on 9/11. There will have been no repealing of any of the Constitution killing bills enacted by W. and his crew such as Patriot Acts 1 and 2, The John Warner Defense Authorization Act, The Military Commissions Act or PDD 51.

We will all be monitored closely by the NSA and their illegal wiretapping and Obama will do nothing to stop it. He will criminalize the ownership of firearms and he will systematically ensure that we are all taxed to death to pay for the rest of the world’s problems.

He’ll probably invade Iran under the misguided idea that we can have nukes but no one else can. (I believe the Constitution is good enough to cover the entire planet if they want it. Therefore the right to bear arms applies to anyone.)

I was a Hillary supporter not because I agreed with her politics but because she is a woman. Sexism is the most critically important issue that we as humans must solve. I am a radical affirmative action feminist. I say fire everyone in Congress and the Supreme Court and replace them with women. 100 years of women in power will be a “change I can believe in.”

Now we will have what we always have in the Whitehouse. A christian, heterosexual, breeder, sexist, sexualist, MAN.

Change. Ha!

Twitter’s mea culpa

May 23rd, 2008 by Out Wrong

Twitter goes down all the time. It’s because it is so cool and everyone wants to use it. It’s so popular that it’s now cool to trash it. I can’t imagine what it must be like to keep a site like Twitter up and running but I imagine it must be giving a few people sleepless nights worrying about it.

I’m going to say it. “I love Twitter. Warts and all.”

Same-sex unions are “separate but equal” in sheep’s clothing

May 15th, 2008 by Out Wrong

Of course all of the presidential candidates are WRONG WRONG WRONG on this issue. They are all cowards and they will scurry away from the “gay marriage” issue like the cockroaches they are. All of them: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Ron Paul and (of course) John McCain.

I am all for abolishing marriage, but short of that, the only other solution is absolute equality for same-sex unions, henceforth to be known as “marriage” too. Nothing less.

The Virtue of Selfishness

May 10th, 2008 by Out Wrong

Since nature does not provide man with an automatic form of survival, since he has to support his life by his own effort, the doctrine that concern with one’s own interests is evil means that man’s desire to live is evil - that man’s life as such, is evil. No doctrine could be more evil than that.
…If you wonder about the reasons behind the ugly mixture of cynicism and guilt in which most men spend their lives, these are the reasons: cynicism, because thy neither practice nor accept the altruist morality, - guilt because they dare not reject it.
…Since selfishness is “concern with one’s own interests,” the Objectivist ethics uses that concept in its exact and purest sense. It is not a concept that one can surrender to man’s enemies, nor to the unthinking misconceptions, distortions, prejudices and fears of the ignorant and the irrational. The attack on “selfishness” is an attack on man’s self-esteem; to surrender one, is to surrender the other.

A+ for Abortion Art

A reality check and a rational thinker thank you very much.

Again, it is Shvarts’ body. Hers. If you don’t like it that simply makes you an enemy of liberty and equality. Evolve or perish.
